Search continues for missing man

The Police in Phalaborwa has launched a search operation to find 20-year-old Elvis Baloyi from Mozambique, who went missing on 22 March 2021.

It is alleged that the victim and his six friends left Mozambique to South Africa on foot through the Kruger National Park (KNP) and while walking in the park, they got frightened by wild animals. They then ran in different directions.

Apparently, when the group reached Lulekani, they realised that the victim is missing. A missing person case was opened on 27 March 2021 at Phalaborwa police station and a search operation was immediately activated.

The police jointly with KNP Rangers conducted a search operation in and around the Park and the surrounding areas without success.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist to find the missing person to contact Detective Sergeant Oliver Malungani on 076 159 7458, Crime stop number 08600 10111or the nearest Police Station, or use MySAPSApp.

The police investigations and search operations are still continuing.
