Butterworth detectives arrested two males aged 31 and 65 on Thursday 15 April 2021 at Zagwityi Location, Butterworth.
The arrest comes after police were called to a scene at Zagwityi Location, Butterworth where a 12-year-old boy was found in a pit toilet with stab wounds on Sunday 11 April 2021.
Police responded quickly to information they received about the alleged murder. The valuable information shared led to the arrest of the pair at their homesteads at Zagwityi Location, Butterworth. The suspects have been charged for murder and will appear in the Butterworth Magistrate Court on Monday, 19 April 2021.
The circumstances surrounding the incident and the motive for the murder form part of the investigation.
