Missing girl from the Nelson Mandela Bay District sought

The Nelson Mandela Bay District Family Violence, Sexual Offenses, and Child Protection Unit (FCS) are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 15-year-old girl Aphelele Khanya who is missing since Wednesday, 19 May 2021.

It is alleged that on Wednesday, 19 May 2021, Aphelele Khanya, left her home in Algoa Park to attend school in Newton Park. During the day her mother was contacted and informed that Aphelele did not attend school and was also absent on Monday, 17 May 2021. She never returned home and the mother contacted the Nelson Mandela Bay District Family Violence, Sexual offenses, and Child Protection Unit (FCS).

This is not the first time that Aphelele went missing, however, the police are appealing to anyone who can assist in locating Aphelele Khanya, to urgently contact D/Sgt Thabang Shilajoe on 071 475 2310 or Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
