Suspect arrested and drugs worth R105 000 confiscated

The police’s mandate is to fight against the proliferation of drugs and crime therefore every effort must be made to stop this illicit trade and arrest those responsible for the illegal trafficking.

In an information-driven operation on Thursday, 20 May 2021, Graaff-Reinet Vispol, Graaff-Reinet Operational Command Center and Anti-Gang Unit members from Gqeberha (PE) arrested a 28-year-old male during an operation at a house in Impala Street, Graaff-Reinet.

The alleged suspect and residence were searched and 141 Boss mandrax tablets, 37 Medium sized plastic containing Tik, 1 large plastic bag containing 66 grams of Tik, a substantial amount of cash were recovered.

The total estimated value of the drugs is R105 000-00.

The suspect was arrested for possession of drugs and is due to appear in the Graaff Reinet Court soon.
