At approximately 15:00 Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to Bamboo Lane in Pinetown for a shooting incident.
On arrival on the scene a male, believed to be approximately thirty years of age, was found lying next to his motor vehicle, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, there were nothing paramedics could do to assist him and he was declared deceased on arrival.
The motive for the shooting and the events preceding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
