Just after 2 am on Sunday morning Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident on Kingsway Road in the Amanzimtoti area.
Two people sustained multiple gunshot wounds with one person suffering fatal injuries.
The facts surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation.
