Members of the Provincial Drug and Firearm unit continued to clamp down on suspected stolen property that was taken during the recent looting in the Durban area.
The members acted on information of electrical items and other goods that were being stored on the 3rd floor of Rond vista flats on Point rd. An operation was put in place which led to the recovery of electrical appliances, new tyres, different brands of cosmetics, branded clothing, new chairs, branded shoes and takkies, different bottles of liquor including beer and perishable goods.
The items were found abandoned in the parking area and were ready to be transported to Maputo. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. The goods are valued at approximately R15000-00. All items were transported and handed to Point SAPS.
