Thembalethu police seek assistance to trace the next of kin of a pedestrian who died on N2 highway in George

Thembalethu police are seeking the assistance of the public to trace the next of kin of a pedestrian who died after he was hit by a vehicle on the N2 highway near the turnoff to Thembalethu, George at about 15:30 on Saturday, 03 July 2021.

Investigation into this incident indicates that the man, a coloured male in his early thirties, was crossing the highway when he was hit by a Mercedes Benz which was en-route to Mossel Bay. The victim sustained multiple injuries. He was later declared dead by medical personnel on the scene.

The victim was dressed in a grey tracksuit at the time of the incident.
