One person sustained fatal injuries while another person sustained critical injuries following a single-vehicle rollover on the N12 close to New Machavie, Potchefstroom this evening.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at approximately 17h30, they found the Provincial EMS already in attendance. Upon further assessment, they found a vehicle off the roadway and two people lying outside of the vehicle. One person was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics. The other patient was found to be in a critical condition. Advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated before transporting the patient to hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics.
