Two suspects aged 30 and 45 have been arrested and detained after they were found in possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and presumed stolen property.
On Thursday, 26 August 2021, members of the Provincial Integrated Task Team pursued information indicating firearms were being stored at a residence in Tsolo Street in C Block in Khayelitsha. Upon arrival, members searched the premises and confiscated an R4 rifle and a .38 special revolver with ammunition. Once charged the suspect is expected to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrate court on the mentioned charges.
