Pictured is 28-year-old Sibongile Mhlekude who was run over and killed by a white Toyota Hino truck on Monday, August, 2nd 2021 at approx 06:34 am.
Mhlekude’s family is seeking assistance in locating witnesses after receiving unconfirmed reports that the truck had veered off the road and struck the construction worker whilst he was standing in the center medium between the south & northbound lane of the R102 in the vicinity of Canelands – KZN. Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the accident & declared him deceased.
According to his family, Mhlekude is a nonalcoholic and a father of three minor children. On the day of the incident, he was on route to a dentist.
