In commemoration of Women’s Day, Oudtshoorn police embarked on community outreach at Volmoed in the Rural Sector. The members visited 99 families and delivered a “Jar of Hope” with ingredients for a pot of soup to each of the 99 households.
The members also distributed pamphlets to curb gender base violence. The team further sensitized community members about the importance to protect the rights of women and children during these visits.
