A residence on Tariq Road in Riyadh, KZN was held up by five men.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the residence. Reaction Officers were informed that the suspects drove onto the property in a black Toyota (make & model unknown) with ND registration plates.
The robbers entered the home and forced two females aged 55 and 22 to lay on the ground. The victim’s hands were then cable tied. All five suspects were armed with firearms. Two rooms in the house were ransacked. Cellphones and a safe containing jewellery were stolen. The suspects also fled in a white VW Polo belonging to the victims. They later abandoned the vehicle on Eastbury Drive in Phoenix which was recovered by the Phoenix SAPS.
The victims were not injured.
