An intelligence-driven operation was carried out on 04 September 2021 at 19:30 in the Mountain Rise policing area.
The team was following up on information about two women who were dealing drugs. The team proceeded to the premises at the Privet Road informal settlement. A search was conducted inside the house. Police found 25 pink and white capsules of heroin, eight clear plastic packets containing cocaine powder, and plates containing cocaine powder. The estimated street value of the recovered drugs is R25000-00.
Two suspects aged 23 and 24 were placed under arrest for dealing drugs. The suspects are appearing before the Pietermaritzburg Magistrates Court today.
