Drug raiding nets multiple arrests

The Acting District Commissioner of ZF Mgcawu, Brigadier Johnny Besnaar commended the members who executed multiple drug raids in the Rosedale area.

An intelligence-driven operation was conducted on Tuesday, 26 October 2021, whereby four residences were successfully searched.

An undisclosed amount of money and drugs including Tik, mandrax, and dagga worth more than R6700-00 were confiscated. The police arrested four men during the raid and they are expected to appear in Upington Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of illegal possession of drugs and dealing in drugs.
