Hijacked vehicle recovered in Pinetown

A Toyota Hilux bakkie that was hijacked in Tshelimnyama near Pinetown, KZN was recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).

Reaction Officers acting on a tip-off recovered the bakkie abandoned in a parking lot on Moss Street in the Verulam CBD. A close inspection of the vehicle revealed that a cloned number plate was placed over the original. Officers traced the owner who confirmed that his vehicle was hijacked from one of his employees yesterday morning.

The victim was not injured.
