Two men were killed in a hit and run accident while on their morning run on Edmund Morewood Road in Trurolands, KZN this morning (Saturday, 09/10/2021).
A bystander contacted the RUSA Tongaat Operations Centre at 06:56 requesting assistance for the two critically injured men. On arrival, Medics assessed the joggers and found that they had been fatally injured.
According to the bystander, a blue Honda (model and registration unknown) was travelling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle suddenly veered onto the pavement and mowed down the two men. The vehicle sped off without stopping. Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the vehicle however no arrests were made.
The identity of the two men has been established.
