Break-in suspect arrested in Verulam

A break-in suspect was arrested and 21 chairs that were stolen from a temple on the corner of the R102 and Vincent Dickinson Road in Canelands, KZN were recovered by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).

Reaction Officers received a tip-off that two males were seen carrying two stacks of chairs along the R102. Reaction Officers responded to the provided location and spotted the males crossing the center median. When they noticed approaching RUSA Members they dropped the goods and fled. One suspect was apprehended while his accomplice fled into a bush.

During an interview with the Cottonlands, KZN resident confirmed that the chairs were stolen from a temple in Drift, KZN. Reaction Officers contacted the temple and it was confirmed that a window leading into the hall was broken and several chairs were found missing.

The suspect was placed under arrest and handed over to Police.
