Courier vehicle robbed in Mt. Edgecombe

A courier company bakkie was robbed by the occupants of two vehicles on Siphosethu Road in Mt Edgecombe, KZN.

The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Phoenix Operations Center received a call for assistance after the victim sought assistance at a nearby business. All available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival, it was established that the victim and his assistant were traveling on Siphosethu Road when they were
boxed in by a white Toyota Etios and a black Toyota Yaris.

Two men approached the Isuzu bakkie and instructed the assistant to unlock the canopy. One suspect was allegedly armed with a firearm. They thereafter stole items believed to be cellphones and fled in an unknown direction.

The victims were not injured.
