Drugs dealer to serve 10 years in prison

The Camperdown Regional Court sentenced Emmanuel Dladla (56) to 10 years of direct imprisonment for dealing drugs on Thursday, 25 November 2021.

Dladla was arrested in April and October 2020 respectively with 898 kilograms of dagga. Police received information about the man who was transporting dagga from Swaziland to the Northern Cape. He was arrested in Pietermaritzburg in April and in October, he was caught in Camperdown.

The accused appeared in court on several occasions until he was convicted. He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for each count of dealing in drugs which will run concurrently.
