Three drug dealers nabbed during drug operation

As we are approaching the Festive Season, police are deployed across the province to curb the abuse of drugs and all related criminal activities.

Operations conducted by the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit netted three suspects for possession and dealing in drugs. The operation was conducted last night in the Durban CBD to curb drug-related cases. The operation yielded good results when three suspects aged between 27 and 34 were found in possession of drugs. They were found in possession of 1363 capsules of heroin, 72 mandrax tablets, 10 balls of crystal meth, and six moons of rock cocaine. One of the suspects was also found in possession of ammunition.

The suspects were arrested on Albert Street and in the South Beach area. The recovered drugs have an estimated street value of R76 200-00. The arrested suspects are making their first court appearance in the Durban Magistrates Court today for possession of ammunition as well as possession and dealing in drugs.
