Earlier this evening, IPSS Medical Rescue, together with IPSS SAR Unit, responded to Umhlali for reports of a head-on collision.
Upon arrival on scene it was established that a light motor vehicle and a bakkie had collided head-on, resulting in both vehicles leaving the roadway and both drivers being entrapped.
Advanced life support paramedics, together with KDM fire and rescue, worked to free the entrapped persons, who were both critically injured.
Once extricated, the critically injured patients were transported to hospital by IPSS Medical Rescue.
