A man was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash while en route to the bank this morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to Ottawa, KZN after receiving reports of the robbery. On arrival, the victim informed Reaction Officers that he was en route to the bank to make a deposit when a light blue Datsun Go blocked his path of travel.
One person was in the vehicle. Two armed suspects who were hiding in a bush on the side of the road accosted the driver and his passenger. They demanded the cash before they stole the keys to his Isuzu bakkie. The robbers then sped off in their getaway vehicles.
The victims were not injured.
