The Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Thembisile Patekile, accompanied by the DG of the Department of Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Adv MJ Maluleke, Maj Gen ED Ndaba, and senior management took to the streets to visit voting stations in certain identified areas to ensure that voters can cast their vote in a secure and peaceful environment.
Lt Gen Patekile acquainted himself with operational deployments before returning to the Provincial Operational Command Centre from where he will be closely monitoring the developments of the day.
