A 53-year-old man was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at Manzimahle Administrative Area.
It is alleged that the suspect was assaulting his wife and his sister-in-law when the wife managed to escape and alert the police. Quick police response resulted in the arrest and confiscation of the pistol.
The man was detained on a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and will appear before the Cala magistrate Court on Tuesday 21 December 2021.
