The Department of Transport in partnership with SANTACO-KZN, Kokstad SAPS, the Greater Kokstad municipal traffic, and Eastern Cape Traffic Control from the Alfred Nzo District today, 17 December 2021, held a joint law enforcement roadblock at Kokstad.
This is part of the ongoing Festive Season Safer Plan launched by the KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala last month. Mr Bonginkosi Sikhwama and his family received an early Christmas present as the Road Safety Directorate handed them a car seat for their 2 year-old child.
A total of 370 vehicles were stopped with 24 charges.
