A Boomslang measuring over a meter was captured in the living room of a flat on Saunders Circle in Belvedere, Tongaat last night (Wednesday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 18:13 after the snake was spotted next to a sofa. A Reaction Officer was dispatched to the residence and on arrival identified the snake as a Boomslang. Due to the snake being highly venomous, professional snake catcher Samantha Cumming from Reptiles Unlimited was called out.
She captured and removed the reptile from the residence.
