The body of an unknown male was discovered in a pool of blood in Phase 4, Waterloo – KZN during the early parts of this morning (Saturday).
A passerby who made the discovery contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 02:29. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, Medics assessed the individual and discovered that he was shot in the head and back. Due to the extent of his injuries, he died prior to the arrival of First Responders. Four spent 9mm cartridges were recovered. The deceased was not identified and is estimated to be in his thirties.
The motive for the murder was not established.
