ECSA responded to reports of a Vehicle Fire in Bosvy Street in Roodekrans.
On arrival, it was found that a vehicle had a battery on the charge which exploded and caused the engine compartment to catch alight.
Local CPF and Private Security Services managed to disconnect the charger and started to extinguish the blaze.
ECSA conducted a damp down on scene to prevent any flare-ups to occur
Recourses from the City Of Johannesburg Fire Department also arrived on the scene to come and assist.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported on the scene.
