18-Year-Old Shot During Robbery: Redcliffe – KZN

An 18 year old male was shot in the arm during an alleged robbery on Pertunia Circle in Redcliffe a short while ago (Saturday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to a residence at approximately 18:41 where the victim sought refuge. On arrival, he was treated by Medics for a gunshot wound to his left arm.

According to the victim, he was stopped at the entrance of Petunia Circle when a silver vehicle (make and model unknown) with four occupants stopped and robbed him of R80 in cash & his Samsung A3 cellphone. One of the occupants was allegedly a female.

The suspects then asked the victim to jump into the vehicle when he decided to flee. One of the passengers then allegedly drew a shot gun and fired a single round which struck him on his arm.

The suspects then sped off in the direction of Osindisweni, KZN while the victim sought refuge at a neaby residence. The Redcliffe, KZN resident was treated for his injuries on scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
