A 62-year-old male was discovered deceased in his back yard by his sister at their residence on Bankford Road in Sunford, Phoenix a short while ago (Tuesday).
The elderly man’s sister returned from work and discovered her sibling lying unresponsive in a prone position in their back yard. Neighbours went to her aid after they heard her screaming for assistance. The man was pronounced deceased by Medics from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) who arrived on the scene at approximately 15:16
According to his sister, the deceased informed her that he was going to be taking out the garbage shortly prior to her leaving for work. When she returned she called out to him and did not receive a response. She then peered through the window and noticed him lying in a prone position at the rear door.
The cause of death has not been established at this stage
