A house break-in suspect was arrested by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD this morning (Saturday).
Reaction Officers were dispatched to the property at approximately 00:21 after receiving a call reporting a break-in in progress. On arrival, Officers discovered that a security gate leading into the home was bent.
The suspect was still in the residence and in an attempt to evade arrest, he broke through the ceiling and was attempting to force his way out through the roof. Reaction Officers climbed to the roof and arrested the male as he exited.
The suspect is currently detained at the Verulam SAPS.
