Gauteng police arrested over 1500 suspects for various crimes during the multidisciplinary integrated Operation O kae Molao which is conducted every weekend throughout the province.
Suspects were arrested for different crimes including possession of drugs, drunk and driving, illegal immigrants including wanted suspects for offences such as murder, house breaking, theft and sexual offences among others.
One man was arrested in Buhlepark after being found in possession of a hijacked vehicle and six suspects were arrested in separate incidents at Tshwane District and West Rand Districts for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
All arrested suspects will appear at different Magistrates’ Courts in due course.
