A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducting static security at a construction site in Ballito, KZN fended off a crocodile that attempted to attack his patrol dog last night.
The Officer requested backup. Reaction Officers were dispatched and on arrival were informed that the crocodile attempted to attack a patrol dog when its handler fended it off with a stick. The reptile is believed to have escaped into the uThongathi River.
The Security Officer and his dog were not injured.
