Streets in Tshwane to be affected by a march on 20 January

Take note that there will be a march on Thursday, 20 January 2022 by Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF).

Purpose: To hand over memorandum to the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture officials regarding the opening of stadiums for spectators.

The marchers will gather at Prince’s Park, corner WF Nkomo Street and Prince’s Park Avenue at 10:00.

The route of the march is as follows:

They will start to march from Prince’s Park at 11:30 and proceed by WF Nkomo Street Eastbound, turn left at Kgosi Mampuru Street, right at Madiba Street until they reach Department of Sports, Arts and Culture at corner Paul Kruger Street and Madiba Street.

The following Streets will be affected:

*WF Nkomo Street
*Prince’s Park Avenue
*Kgosi Mampuru Street
*Madiba Street
*Sophie de Bruyn Street
*Bosman Street
*Paul Kruger Street

They are expected to disperse from the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture at 14:00.

Motorists are advised to avoid affected streets and use alternative routes such as:

*Es’Kia Mphahlele Drive
*Thabo Sehume
*Struben Street
*Francis Baard Street
*Nana Sita Street

Tshwane Metro Police officers will be deployed to monitor the march and all affected streets.
