Armed robbery in Hazelmere

A man was robbed by three suspects armed with firearms after they forcefully gained entry into his rented room in Hazelmere, KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call from a resident in the area reporting the incident. Upon arrival, it was established that three suspects broke the door leading into one of the rooms.

The victim woke up to investigate when he was pistol-whipped on his head. The robbers ransacked his room and stole two cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash before they fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The 33-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries to his head.

Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the robbers however no arrests were made.
