Three occupants of a white unknown vehicle attempted to allegedly kidnap a scholar from a secondary school in Verulam, KZN.
It is alleged that a group of learners was standing outside the school premises at approximately 16:00 when the suspect’s vehicle stopped next to them. Three men exited the car and approached the students who fled back onto the school premises. The men then got into their vehicle and sped off.
Educators believe that it was an attempt to kidnap one of the learners. Parents are urged to communicate with transporters to ensure that scholars are uplifted shortly after completion of school.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) have responded to several calls where scholars were attacked or robbed while waiting to be transported home.
