Female killed in a hit and run incident in Phoenix

A female was killed after she was run over by a truck in Phoenix, KZN.

Passing motorists contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) requesting medical assistance for the unresponsive pedestrian. RUSA members arrived on the scene and discovered the female lying in a prone position on the side of the road. She sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene. According to witnesses, a white Isuzu truck ran over the pedestrian and sped off without stopping to assist. They did not obtain the registration number.

Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the truck however no arrests were made.
