A homeowner was stabbed four times while he fought off two men who attempted to force their way into his Buffelsdraai, KZN.
The man was woken by his wife who informed him that someone was banging on their door. He opened the door and was confronted by two men. He was struck on the head by a blunt object when he retaliated. During a scuffle, he was stabbed four times. His attackers fled empty-handed.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene. On arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed the victim. He was unable to provide a description of the suspects due to him being disoriented after receiving the first blow.
The man later received medical attention at a local hospital.
