Philanderer assaulted by enraged boyfriend in Canelands

A 35-year-old man was seriously injured after he was assaulted by a group of men whilst visiting his mistress on Station Road in Canelands, KZN.

A passerby contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after he located the man lying on the side of the road. His clothing was drenched in blood. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found the male bleeding from injuries to his head.

The KwaMashu, KZN resident explained that he made arrangements to visit his girlfriend this morning after her partner left for work. As he approached her home, the philanderer was confronted by a group of males. One of the men in the group was the female’s boyfriend who informed him that he had evidence of the affair and waited for him to arrive. The men then began assaulting him with whips and sticks. He managed to flee but collapsed due to the extent of his injuries.

The man was treated for his injuries on the scene before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
