The partnership between the police and the community yielded positive results when members of Grassy Park police arrested a 42-year-old male for the possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition in Acacia Road, Parkwood this morning 03 February 2022. The members received information about a firearm and ammunition at the premises and searched the premises. They found a revolver and 181 rounds of ammunition hidden in the ceiling of the house.
The suspect is due to make a court appearance in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Monday 07 February 2022.
