Yesterday morning, 16 February 2022, Lwandle police followed up information at premises in Hlathi Drive, Asanda Village, where they found documents such as firearm proficiency certificates, firearm competency certificates, medical certificates, senior certificates, and other documents meant to commit fraud.
Equipment to create these documents such as computers, laminating machines, and printing machines were also confiscated.
A 46-year-old suspect was arrested and detained on charges of fraud and possession of fraudulent documents and equipment.
The suspect is due to appear in the Strand Magistrates court on Friday, 18 February 2022 on the mentioned charges.
