A 20-year-old female died after she jumped from the third floor of a block of flats in Mahatma Gandhi Crescent in Belvedere, Tongaat – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 11:53 after receiving multiple calls from onlookers reporting the suicide. On arrival, RUSA Medics assessed the female and established that she had been fatally injured. According to witnesses, the deceased was seen sitting on a wall on the third-floor staircase landing when she suddenly jumped.
The motive for the suicide has not been established at this stage.
