Businesswoman fights off attacker in Belvedere

A tuck shop owner fought off her attacker who accosted her with a knife at her tuck shop on Edmundsbury Street in Belvedere, Tongaat – KZN.

The emotional female contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) requesting assistance at her residence. Available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the property and on arrival were informed that the suspect has entered the premises under the pretext of purchasing biscuits.

When the female entered the tuck shop, the suspect followed her and produced a knife. She punched him several times on his chest when he fled empty-handed. Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search however he was not located.

The victim was not injured.
