One Injured After Vehicle Overturns: King Shaka International Airport – KZN

A 31-year-old man sustained moderate injuries after his vehicle overturned on the southbound lane of the R102 in the vicinity of the King Shaka International Airport, KZN intersection this morning (Friday).

At approximately 00:18, a Member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was on patrol in the area when he came across the white Renault Kwid lying on its side. The two male occupants explained that they were traveling from Tongaat, KZN headed towards Phoenix, KZN when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn and land on its side.

RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched to the scene and on arrival treated the driver for moderate injuries before transporting him to hospital for further medical attention.

The passenger was not injured in the accident.
