This morning at 04:00, an intelligence operation was conducted by police officers from the Stabilisation Team and Provincial Special Investigation and Tracing Team and led to the arrest of two suspects.
The team was following up on information regarding drugs that were kept in one of the houses on Currie Road in Berea policing area. Upon searching the premises, police found 110 pieces of rock cocaine and 11 loose packets of cocaine. The recovered drugs are valued at R25 300-00.
A cash amount of R3130-00 suspected to be the proceeds of drugs was also seized by police. The suspects aged 37 and 47 were placed under arrest for possession and dealing in drugs. They are appearing before the Durban Magistrates’ Court today.
