Habitual burglary suspect arrested in Dawncrest

A habitual burglar was arrested by members of the community after he was spotted breaking into an outbuilding in Dawncrest – KZN.

The 28-year-old suspect was pursued by the community after he fled from the property. He was apprehended on Sunlark Drive by a mob consisting of approximately 20 people.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 12:13. On arrival, Reaction Officers were informed that the suspect was a habitual burglar and was believed to be sought for several cases of theft and housebreaking.

He is currently detained at the Verulam SAPS.
