House gutted in a fire in Cottonlands

A house rented by several people was completely destroyed after it caught alight this afternoon (Thursday) in Cottonlands – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 17:38 after multiple calls were received from residents.

On arrival, Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics discovered the residence completely engulfed in flames. RUSA members assisted residents in salvaging their belongings while awaiting the arrival of the Ethekwini Fire Department.

The cause of the fire was not immediately established.

The residence was extensively damaged.
