Pedestrian stabbed during a robbery in Verulam

An 18-year-old Malawian national was stabbed during a robbery on Todd Street in the vicinity of Everest Heights – KZN.

The victim was walking from Mslasini to his place of employment in the Verulam CBD when he was attacked by three suspects. He was stabbed on his left thigh after they found that he had nothing of value on him. He managed to walk to the mosque on the lower end of Wick Street in the Verulam CBD where he sought assistance.

Members of the public contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 07:46. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the male bleeding from a penetrating wound to his left thigh.

He was transported privately to a medical facility.
