The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Major General Jan Scheepers has ordered a 72-hour activation plan to hunt down the suspects who allegedly murdered a 35-year-old man and later burned his body at Marapong Township in Lephalale yesterday on Saturday 02 April 2022 at about 17h50.
It is alleged that the victim was stabbed and stoned by the suspects next to the local liquor outlet who then set his body alight before they fled the scene. Police were notified and a case of murder was opened.
The deceased was identified as Jappie Moatshe from Kauletse Village in Ga-Seleka. The motive for the incident is unknown at this stage.
The Police are calling on a person known as Elias “Malankane” Matsieng to avail himself at the nearest police station as it is believed that he can assist in the investigations of this brutal incident.
